Indie Hackers – How I Took a Sabbatical Project to Profitability

My name is Michael, and since 2015 I’ve been working on QuotaGuard, my dynamic and static IP proxy service.

I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada, but I’ve lived, studied, and worked all over the world, including in China, Poland, Hong Kong, Holland, and about a quarter of the states in the US. I’ve spent just over two decades as a software developer, information security/software consultant, and business owner.

I tried retiring back in 2014, but after two years of hiatus, I really wanted to get back into building, scaling, and managing software projects to stave off boredom and obsolesce.
